During the past 12 years, Phil has provided a variety of services and supports to consumers with developmental disabilities. This has included providing direct care assistance and support, assisting children in elementary through high school special education programs, and providing vocational training and job support and management of two-day treatment programs. At Counseling & Consulting Services, Phil provides progressive relaxation training, individual counseling services and anger management group counseling services to consumers with developmental disabilities.

Phil is committed to assisting consumers and their care providers with developing and implementing individualized strategies to reduce the occurrence of problematic behaviors that interfere with an individual's ability to fully participate in desirable activities in the community (e.g., employment, education, social events, etc.) In doing so, Phil provides positive behavioral support consultation and training to family members and other care providers (e.g., direct care staff, school teaching staff, etc.) and works collaboratively with other professionals (e.g., psychiatrists, medical doctors, nutritionists, neurologists, occupational therapists, etc.) to assure that consumers' needs are being fully recognized and addressed as effectively as possible.

Our New Phoenix Office: Dual Diagnosis (Developmental Disabilites and Mental Health Needs), Consulting, Counseling approaches with individuals with Developmental Disabilities, Sexuality Training

As of March 1, 2004 we have a new Counseling & Consulting office in Phoenix. We are now located at: 2048 N. 44th St.; Ste. 220 & 221, Phoenix, AZ 85008

This new office is located on 44th Street between Thomas and McDowell, not far from Sky Harbor Airport. It is named Arcadia Executive Suites. This office is east from 202 and 143.

In addition to our new office site, we are pleased to introduce our new Counselors in Phoenix:

Mike comes with extensive experience working in the Phoenix area and with people with developmental disabilities. He has worked as a Behavioral Specialist with For You, Inc. in the Phoenix area, and as a Quality Advisor with MENTOR throughout Arizona. He is currently working toward his Masters and Doctorate degrees.

Mike has already shown us how responsive and responsible he is with taking on new cases and working with a diverse group of people.

Mike will be working with teams for consultations on Behavior Plans, staff training and Person Centered Planning.

We are very glad to add him to our group of DD Counselors.

Sara comes to us from being a Support Coordinator with D.D.D. in the Phoenix area for over a year. She has her Masters degree in Social Work. Her education and experience make her quite valuable to our Phoenix office as well. She also has shown an ability to be self-directed and responsive.

Sara will be doing the majority of specific counseling at this time. She will also be available to do Person Centered Planning.

We are very pleased with the addition of Sara to our agency as well.
